our first duet...

yesterday was a pretty fun day for both ashlyn and me...we had fun laughing and playing...and...well...sign making....we even made a quick fun run to the store for some ice cream and popsicles...on the way back i ashlyn asked me to put the radio on station 4 (the presets...and because she is 4 she thinks that is the station 4 year olds are supposed to listen to)...anyway...i switch the station and john mayer is playing on the radio...ashlyn listens for a minute (she's just now getting into a wee bit of regular music...normally she's a big "johnny so long at the fair" kind of girl) and says....ooooo mommy...i like this song...i smiled and told her it was one of my favorites...on the way home we both sang "waiting on the world to change" with ashlyn echoing me the entire way home...it was so cute...she says that's her new favorite song now...if only i would have had my camcorder on me...
