first busted lip....awwwwww

last night ashlyn and ryan decided to go for a walk after it rained...so they headed out to the school and i guess ashlyn decided to make an attempt to play on the playground...before you know it i see ryan walking up with ashlyn in his arms...i figure she fell down and scraped a knee or something...when they walked in ryan asked her to show me what had happened while they were out...she came up to me and said "mom i got a busted lip" and stuck her bottom lip way out so i could see it...poor thing...she decided to try swinging from the bars even though they were wet and slipped and busted her lip on the bar...i asked her if she would be swinging on the bars anymore (just to see what her answer would be and to encourage her to keep on trying even though she got hurt)...she looked at me and said..."well mom, i'll do the bars again...but i think i'll wait till they're dry"....i told her that was probably a really good idea... i know you can barely make it out....but you can see the little red mark on her bottom lip...then there's one directly below it...and one tiny one directly above it on her top lip....
