what did i get myself into...

so...honestly...what gave me the idea that i was going to sew ashlyn's halloween costume from scratch??? i've had a sewing machine now for like 6 months...i am just NOW unboxing it from the amazon box...much less the actual box it comes in...i got it all set up...i'm actually pretty proud that i figured out how to thread it by myself...though i will be keeping the directions close by just in case i forget...anyway...i cut out one petal of ashlyn's skirt today and an hour later...i have one petal...a completed petal...but just one...at this rate i'll finish right around halloween...
