a few more funnies...

ashlyn told me the other day that she had a new bff (yes, she used the term just like that)...she said that jett was no longer her bff and her bffs now include her friends haley and sierra...i think she's definitely been hanging around mommy too long...picking up on the slang...

so then she comes home...same day i think...and proceeds to grill me about composting and recycling...so tomorrow we will be getting a recycling bin...nothing like a 4 year old to make you feel guilty for not doing your part to help save the earth...

oh and a sweet story...ashlyn came home on tuesday and asked if she could have a piece of paper...i got her one and she asked me if i could fold it in half...so i did...she went back in the room and drew some pictures on it and put her name on it...then she came and asked me if i could help her with her card...i said sure...then she asked if i could help her spell "i'm sorry mikayla"...she said she wanted to draw a card for mikayla because she had been mean to mikayla at school and she felt bad...she said her friend wanted her to be mean to mikayla so she was...but then she felt really bad about it...so she wanted to make her a card so she could know how sorry she was...then she proceeded to tell me that it didn't feel very good to be mean and that from now on if her friends wanted her to be mean she wasn't going to be...i know i know...she was being mean in the first place...but the fact that she turned around and acknowledged it and wanted to make it right really made me feel good...i know quite a few adults who wouldn't even do that...
