i want to dine tonight...

this evening while i was cooking dinner, ashlyn runs in and says...which one mom?...i'm like...which one what?...she grabs my hand and says come look...so i go with her...she leads me into her room where she has all of the dresses in her closet lined up on her bed...she looks at me and says "i feel like DINING tonight, so i need a pretty dress"...i hold back my laughter (at how cute she is)...i tell her that she needs to decide which dress she would like to wear...then she says "a-ha i know" and runs to the closet in the back bedroom where her "special" easter dress from last year (that was too big at the time) is hanging...she points and says "that one" (i think she had a slight drool when she said it)...you know at first i almost told her no..because it was an expensive dress and not made for messy dinner at home...but then i figured...what the hey, she's never going to get a chance to really wear it anywhere...might as well get some good use out of it...so i grab it out of the closet...she cheers...then says "now for some high heels"...she was a bit disappointed when she couldn't find any (because she doesn't own any)...so she told me that next time we went to the store we needed to get her a pair for the next time she wants to dine...lol...in all of her glory though she didn't want her picture taken...so this is the best i could get...when ryan walked in from work we all sat down and had our "Fancy Nancy" dinner...ashlyn being fancy and us being her 2 dumpy parents...lol

now just to get the right image going...imagine...light pink...satin...with some kind of see through almost ball gown like material on the bottom (whatever that's called...i'm not well versed on soft frilly material) a satin ribbon trim along the bottom...a kind of basket weave (i guess) satin top with little pearls sewn in the corners of the blocks...and a bow on the top of each shoulder...all this for mom's pot roast and rice...
