what happened to the days where my kid used small words to describe her smells, pictures, things she was doing, etc.??? long gone are the days of "that smells bad or that looks good"...now we have "mommy that smells disgusting"...."mommy, what is that delicious smell" or "those cookies are delicious/disgusting" trust me...it might not seem like much but the other day i had ashlyn in my arms...she asks "mommy, what is that you are chewing on?" i said "gum"...she proceeds to tell me that my gum smells "disgusting" geez....i think that's a bit much...lol....she also likes to use the word horrible as well...oh and my favorite is when we are going somewhere and we get out of the car...there's usually a restaurant somewhere nearby and she'll smell the food or something in the air and she'll turn to me and ask "mom, what is that disgusting smell....is it you???"...and of course she says that at volume 100 so that everyone can hear...try having her tell you that little tidbit of info while you're in a public restroom stall!....i swear i'm glad i have a good sense of humor about it...oh and now she'll walk in the kitchen and i'll automatically know what she thinks about what i'm cooking...i either get the thumbs up "this smells delicious (or her new one...fabulous)" or she'll crinkle up her nose and she'll say "ewwwwww that smells disgusting"...i swear...
