kittens kittens kittens...

yesterday we decided to spend the evening outside...cleaning up the yard, trimming the trees and bushes and jumping on the trampoline...as Ryan started to trim up our palm tree he made a little discovery....

4 kittens!!!

this one was the cutest just because he just kept looking at me
and we all know that if you give me some attention i will fall in
love with you forever....lol

i loved the little gray one just because he was the odd duck...

ashlyn had to scope them out...
she was really good not to disturb them
and when we got too loud she would look at us and say
"shhhhh the kitties are trying to sleep and we don't
want to scare them off"

of course if we were kitty fans we'd be all over them...but since kitties grow up into cats and we aren't fans of litter boxes...well...we decided it might be best to call the local animal shelter...of course we found them on a holiday so they had to stay where they were at for one more night...it looked like they had been there for a couple of weeks already...so we figured they would be fine one more night...the mom was coming back and forth to check on them and we didn't want to disturb her...what's weird is that penelope must have never really messed with them...mama cat probably sent out a few warning hisses and swipes...or maybe she just knew that they were babies...who knows...but we sent penelope next door over night just in case...this morning i made the mistake of telling ashlyn i would wait and call the animal shelter after she got back from school so she could see the kitties one last time but when i came home from dropping her off they had moved (i have a feeling they are underneath our shed)...hopefully they are all okay...i think their mom was annoyed with us finding their hideout....now i just hope they've moved somewhere that penelope won't bother them....
