the soccer light came on....

finally..it has happened...well...kind of...but hey i'll take what i can get...ashlyn had a soccer game a couple of days ago...for all of you who have been out to watch you KNOW ashlyn's strategy for game play...run around the outside of the circle and point to which direction we should be headed..every blue moon she'll trot in and kick the ball..then it's back to the outside of the circle where she trots around on her tiptoes (remind you of anyone...??? LOL)...so imagine our surprise when all of a sudden we see our child running into the middle of the pile and actually try to kick the ball away from the other team....WHAT??? who is that out there? now don't get me wrong...she would still get on the outside from time to time and trot around on the tiptoes...i mean, helllooooo, it's a trademark family move...but we were really proud of her...at one point she even almost scored a goal...she was soooo excited about it too...here are a few pics from the game...i didn't get any good action shots around the net because i would get too excited everytime she got close and i would jump up and down and forget to take pictures...
